To wear make up, or not to wear make up?
For a first date, or blind date I would do what you do most of the time. If you wear a lot of make up typically- go ahead and wear it. You want him to be attracted to your unique look. If you never wear make up you don’t want to wear a lot on the first date and give him the wrong impression. It’s nice to wear a little to accentuate your best features though and to show that you do like to dress up for what you perceive as a special occasion. He will be flattered that you dressed up for him. There is nothing sexier than lip gloss!
If you’re like me and think that tons of make up gives you magical powers, then don’t be afraid to wear it. You want someone who is attracted to your look and won’t ask you to tone it down after a few weeks. Any man of mine knows the extremes I will go to, to get the latest mineral powder or lash thickener!
You want him to recognize you on your second date! So most important: just be yourself! Attraction should be natural, if you are looking at someone and trying to figure out what you would change about him then you might want to look elsewhere!
How does my first impression impact a first date?
My advice to women is to keep it casual. DON’T dress too sexy! This is a sure-fire thing to get a man thinking about all the wrong things. If he finds you attractive, he will find you attractive in more appropriate clothing. If he ONLY finds you attractive in sexy clothing you are looking for a let down! Leave something to the imagination.
On the other hand, don’t dress too “stiff” either. A power suit, penny loafers and a key chain hanging off the side of your pants is a sure way to scare a man to death! You want him to get to know you without him wondering if you are going to crush him.
Do go for “pretty” instead of “sexy”. If you are dressed “pretty” he will definitely find you “sexy” but more approachable. Men can be intimidated by over aggressiveness. The goal in dating is to find out who someone is rather than force traits out of him/her with too much sexual energy or false pretenses.
So, the “hot stuff” will come later, but for the first date it’s best to keep it neutral!
How can I communicate with my stylist for the perfect hair cut?
Stylists are not mind readers, but should be good enough at fishing out enough information to give you a great cut. The following are some steps you can take to do your part in ensuring your haircut is perfect and most suited to you!
